Ayo Davis has been elevated to executive vice president, talent and casting, ABC Entertainment and Disney+according to a report by Deadline. Previously, she was working as head of talent and casting for ABC Entertainment and ABC Studios.
According to the report, Davis will continue to oversee casting for ABC Entertainment and ABC Studios while also adding oversight of Disney’s direct-to-consumer and international segment and closely work with the Disney+ team across all scripted and unscripted content. She will report to Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment.

ABC Studios became part of a combined Disney Television Studios after the completion of the Disney-Fox deal.
Having spent more than 16 years with ABC, Davis was appointed as head of talent and casting for ABC Studio and ABC network in 2016. Prior to being elevated as head of talent and casting for the studio, Davis was senior vice president, talent and casting, ABC Entertainment Group.
In that role, she was in charge of all scripted prime-time casting for the ABC network. Additionally, she also led the implementation and launch of the ABC Discovers Initiative, which includes programmes that were aimed at finding and nurturing upcoming talent from across the world.
